Wool has many wonderful properties - it's hypoallergenic, resistant to dust and mould, soft and insulating. By buying British wool you are supporting local farmers facing an uncertain future due to Brexit, as well as reducing your carbon footprint.

The simple answer is we prefer not to! The dyeing process can produce harmful chemicals which drain into the sea, poisoning wildlife. Plus, black sheep wool is very difficult to dye without bleaching first - much like black hair! We are looking into experimenting with natural dyes with our limited stock of Shetland wool. Watch this space!

Our sheepskins are produced as a byproduct of the farming industry. This means they are not suitable for those who feel they'd like to avoid animal derived products. Vegetarian customers are very welcome to browse our collections of cruelty free products from shorn wool.

No. All our sheepskin is a by product of livestock farming. We believe that this is the best way to show respect to the animal and the life it has lived.
